Product details
On fast-paced builds, seam quality often varies with substrate condition and installer speed. Tyvek Seam Tape 3 in x 55 yd adds wider coverage at WRB overlaps, giving teams more placement margin where joint alignment is less than perfect.
Compared with narrower seam tape, the 3-inch width can reduce sensitivity to minor lap irregularities and provide stronger visual confirmation that the seam line is fully bridged. This is especially helpful on large wall fields and high-throughput framing schedules.
Even with wider tape, fundamentals still govern performance: apply over clean and dry wrap, avoid trapped wrinkles, and pressure-set the bond along the entire seam run. Poor prep can negate the advantage of extra width.
Product scope should remain clear for technical accuracy: this is WRB seam tape, not opening flashing. Window, door, and penetration details still require purpose-built flashing membranes or tapes to maintain correct drainage sequencing and envelope reliability.
