Larger openings and deeper returns increase flashing complexity and can amplify leakage risk if coverage is undersized. Tyvek StraightFlash 9 in x 125 ft is positioned for those wider straight-run details where narrower strips may require extra seams and patchwork.
The 9-inch width helps extend coverage across broader transitions, often simplifying layout and reducing seam count around heads, jambs, and sill continuations. Fewer seams can mean fewer potential pathways for water intrusion when sequencing is correct.
This product is most effective when used as part of a complete envelope strategy: WRB continuity, opening prep, and drainage-first sequencing must align across all adjacent materials. Random layering or reversed sequence can undermine otherwise high-quality materials.
