Product details
When exterior walls leak air and trap moisture, insulation performance and long-term durability both suffer. Tyvek HomeWrap 9 ft x 150 ft is used as a breathable WRB layer that helps block bulk water and uncontrolled air movement while allowing vapor to escape from the wall assembly.
The 1,350 sq ft roll format is useful on production framing because larger coverage can reduce seam count and speed installation rhythm across long elevations. Fewer seams generally means fewer potential failure points when overlap, taping, and flashing integration are executed correctly.
Material behavior matters as much as product type. The spun-bonded olefin construction is selected for the balance between water resistance and vapor permeability, which is the core reason HomeWrap is specified in mixed and variable climates.
For best results, this product should be treated as one component in a full envelope system: WRB continuity, opening flashing, penetrations, and cladding transitions all need coordinated detailing. Use official DuPont instructions for overlap dimensions, fastener placement, UV exposure limits, and integration with compatible tapes and flashings.
